Tite-Fix Supports Men’s Sheds Initiative

Tite-Fix partners with UK Men’s Sheds, to support community projects and wellbeing initiatives across the country.

Tite-Fix is supporting UK Men’s Sheds not only as a sponsor of their Shed of the Year awards but by donating spare screws and timber to help local groups build everything from bird boxes to hedgehog houses and other community projects.

Instead of perfectly usable timber going in the skip, it’s being passed on to Men’s Sheds groups around the UK where it can actually be put to good use. Which just makes more sense really.

Especially when there are people out there who can turn a few bits of timber into something genuinely useful.

What’s even better is they’ve crowned Screw-Tite^® their official screw!

More Than Just A Shed

If you’ve never heard of Men’s Sheds before, they’re basically community spaces where people can get together, build things, have a chat, and keep busy.

• Massive impact.

These unbelievable community spaces help tackle loneliness and isolation by giving people somewhere relaxed to go, work on projects, learn skills, and spend time around others with a brew.

And while the name says “Men’s Sheds”, the groups are open to anyone wanting to get involved.

The donated timber gets used for all sorts of projects, including:

• Small community builds
• Repair projects
• General woodworking

And probably the occasional “we definitely measured that right” moment too.

It’s the sort of thing that keeps materials out of landfill while helping local groups create something useful at the same time. Which is a win all round.
